A Session is a time a user pass(time) in a particular website before leaving the website is equal to one Session. By default, a session time is 30 min in Google Analytics. But you can change the session time you want for your website or app.

 In this post, I am showing you how you can change the session time of your website.

Google Analytics is a freemium web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google launched the service in November 2005 after acquiring Urchin. Google Analytics is now the most widely used web analytics service on the Internet.

Steps to customize session time :

1. Firstlog in your Google Analytics Account.

2.Click on the Admin button at the button on the left side.

 

3.Now, go to the property menu and click on Tracking info.

4. Click on the 4th option Session setting.

5. Here you can set the time that you want for your website and click on the apply button (for example you can set 15 min ). The Session times will change automatically.

You can set the Session time depending on your business. For blogging website, you can set 5 min, for a business website you can set 10 min or 15 min etc.
